I designed a piece that’s essential for the LED light bar on my Axial Exo. This piece connects the support shaft from the light bar to the roof panel.

Since my school is very anal about public use of its 3D printer, I have to ask my sister to print it for me. Hopefully it won’t fuck up like it usually does.

What’s the dimensions of the part? From my experience 3D printing, you probably want to get rid of the small radii on the edges of the piece, and it may be worth it to slight under-size all the through-holes then bring them up to size with a drill bit.

What kind of printer will be used? I have MakerBot experience and may be able to give some insight.

It’s a Solidoodle 4. From personal experience, it’s not that good.

The part is 18.7mm x 8.3mm x 6.77mm.

Hmm. Yeah, I’d recommend getting rid of the small radii on the edges of the part, I’m guessing they’re ~0.5mm, and with a guess that the print layer thickness is somewhere between 0.1mm and 0.3mm, the radii will come out pretty terrible and unnecessary.
